My first venture into hospitality was as a Brownie, at the tender age of 7. In this role, I served tea and cake in return for a “hostess badge”. Fast forward to my first job at the local pub, where I began as kitchen porter/runner until the landlord realised I had a knack for pulling a pint!
I am a country girl at heart and love spending time in the fresh air with animals, including my pet sheep: Cuthbert, Dibble & Grubb! However, the Big Smoke Brewery called and so, I moved to London and had an absolute blast at uni. I'd come back home during holidays to earn much needed cash, serving pub grub and pints to the country folk and the occasional DFLs - while catching up on the local gossip, of course.
After graduating, I left London and tried my hand at whipping up cakes and posh breakies at a busy café, before moving on to other areas of the food Industry. I worked in quality assurance at a hot sauce manufacturer, where I ate a Naga chilli (I vowed never to do that again!) and garnered an interest in alternative areas of the industry.
Queue Off to Work! Initially, I joined as a Casual Team Member and worked some pretty cool events (NTAs, BRITs, saw a royal or two...). Then I spent a stint in Operations, before finding my feet with the Recruitment team in Compliance!
Fun fact: Holly from the Cardiff Office may be taller, but she's my little Sister!
