How did you come to hear about the Senior Sous position at the In and Out club?

I was working with Jean Yves and Anneke on my next step on the career ladder and he called to tell me with great enthusiasm about the opportunity at In and Out. It really peaked my interest as I had been for a few other interviews that week that were more geared towards employee dining, whilst this one has the fun and feel of a restaurant (with much better hours!)

How was the Recruitment process?

It was very professional and very quick! Jean-Yves briefed me on the role and made sure it ticked my 'must-have' boxes - from first interview to offer it was under 2 weeks! What I really liked is the way Gary the Head Chef approached the trade test. In the past I have been asked to send across a menu of my choice but this time I was really put to the test by turning up on the day and being asked to raid the fridge and pantry to create a 3-course menu!

What have you enjoyed the most in these first couple of months?

Joining at Christmas was a thrill and despite the busy season I had a proper induction which is always appreciated when joining a new company. I have also been able to put my own stamp on things! The team and I have broken down the menus and Gary has been amazing in letting me run with things.

Would you recommend Off To Work’s Talent Placement team?

Absolutely! I can’t thank Jean-Yves and Anneke enough for all their help and support in helping my achieve my next career goal with a company I am proud to be part of!
